About the Project
Writing Matters, a website developed by Teaching Matters (www.teachingmatters.org), allows ELA middle-school teachers to quickly and safely publish their student's writing in an online eZine format. Writing Matters gives teachers control over whether student writing is kept private just for the class and parent community or made public. Teachers also have the ability to categorize their student's writing by genre. Additionally, the home page of the site acts as a portal for students to share their work with a wider audience. Best of all, the service is free and contains absolutely no advertising.
