Did you ever get in trouble for having a cell phone in school? My opinion is that children should be allowed to have it in school just incase of emergency and if something happens like if some dies they should know.
I also think they should be allowed so if someone tries to hurt them they can find some kind of proof or evidence who got hurt and who did it to them. Students turn them off or put it on buzz. Some parents think it is a very good idea. They say that some cell phones disturb classes. But, how is it that they can here it if we put it on buzz?
Some parents, teachers, principals and the chancellor thinks that we should not have cell phones because they say that we take inappropriate pictures and we put it on in school. They also say that we use it to talk during classes.
“ Every kid carries a cell phone and when the teacher comes they put it away.’’ Said Howard Lucks principal of New Utrecht High. Does he knows if they forgot to put it on vibrate and did not want to get in trouble? Or if they just wants to turn it on so they would not get in any trouble.
Some parents think it is a good idea. They think that kids should always have a cell phone. When a student takes out a cell phone the phone maybe vibrating. Some students may take it to school just because they think they are cool. Some parents think it is a good idea.
The other parents think it is a bad idea only because they think that there children would miss use it but, what they think is not always true! What if the student took it to school incase of emergency or they just wanted to be protected? Do they think that the student would really want to get in trouble?
One result that I found out was that the chancellor does not like the idea of having cell phones in school only because some students miss used it. But, what happens to the others who do not miss use it? Why do they have to pay?
So cell phones should be allowed in school. This is also why I think teachers, principals, and parents should allow cell phones to be in school. This is why I think Children should always have the privilege of having a cell phone in school.
