Do you think that it makes sense that we have this type of program?

It doesn’t make sense that we have this type of program.Some kids really do not do anything. The majority of the kids walk around half of the time. Kids really have better after-school activities to do!

 

Most parents are upset that their kids have to get to this after-school program. They feel that it is disruptive to their after-school plans. They think that their kids should be able to participate in more productive programs.

 

On the website www.maldenextenedtime.org, it gives you polls and feelings that parents and students have about the 37- ½ minutes program.www.answers.com said that 75% of parents say that children and parents should be allowed to say whether or not their child is going to the program, since they are the parent(s).

 

Many Malden parents said that they barely got any information on the 37-½ minute programs. School administrators are still working on how to help parents understand how the 37- ½ minute program works, and how it can also be helpful to their children. Then maybe they will understand that it may be helpful to their kids’ education in any subject.
