Give me some attention! Would you like to be in a class that has a lot of students? What if you were in a class that was constantly distracting? That is what happens to me in my classes. Well I am going to explain why I am writing about this topic. My problem is that schools should have smaller classes because students are too loud, also because some students can be distracting to other students and students are in school to learn not to play around. That is one of my explanations why schools should make class sizes smaller.
Smaller class sizes are better because teachers can’t handle many students. Students are disruptive because they shout out and their are loud in class. Also too many students will make the class too loud and teachers won’t be able to teach. “Classroom management is easier with fewer students, teachers do not need to change their instructional practices to achieve the benefit from class size reduction” (http://eric.uoregon.edu) Schools should make class size smaller because students will get more attention. Parents don’t know that their kids are not getting the education that they need. Students are constantly distracting to others.
Too many teachers are spending enough time with students that don’t know how to behave. Teachers are not to give all of their attention to the bad kids that don’t do any work but to the kids that give their attention in classes. . “Common sense suggests that smaller classes and higher staff child ratios are better for young children, allowing more individual attention, reducing the time and effort devoted to classroom management, and reducing the number of stressful interactions”. (http://nieer.org/resources/policybriefs/9.pdf).
Class size doesn’t matter. It doesn’t affect leaning. The teachers are responsible for what goes on in the class, no matter how many kids are in a class. It does matter! One person cannot control a bunch of CRAZY students. “Teachers with small classes can spend time and energy helping each child succeed.” (http://www.nea.org/classsize/index.html.)
Schools should make class sizes smaller because students will get more attention. Bad children should be removed to a detention room. The principal should hire more teachers to teach the students. The district can make a split schedule for each school so that not as many students are in the school at the same time. The classes will be smaller therefore; students will have a better experience in the class and will like school better. Would you like your child in a class and not be able to learn?
