Dog Abuse

It’s not fair how dogs are suffering! People think dogs don’t have feelings. For me, dogs are like family. They are sweet and friendly the only thing they need is love and care. If somebody wouldn’t care about you and they wouldn’t listen to you, would you like it? I wouldn’t, and I don’t think you would either. That’s how dogs feel when you don’t care about them and they feel left out specially if they get hit, they suffer a lot.

There are a lot of dogs dying because of animal abuse. “74% of dogs are dieing by getting shot”                             (http://www.petabuse.com/media/statistics/offleash_retaliation_pie.php [1]). Dog abuse is increasing instead of decreasing especially in Florida, and it shouldn’t be that way. It should be the other way around.          Dogs have been taken away from their owners because they have been abused. For example “ASPCA officers rescued Logan just in time. A sweet, friendly dog, Logan had been neglected and abused almost to the point of death. Through the generosity of donors to the ASPCA, Logan was able to get the medical attention he desperately needed. Right now, there are many animals who are suffering like Logan.”    (http://www.aspca.org/site/PageServer?JServSessionIdr001=lihd8z0dl3.app17b&pagename=DEV_drtv_homepage [2]). We need to help those dogs who are suffering like Logan.

There are a lot of dogs out there that need our help. Every day at least ten dogs die because of dog abuse. Logan was hit so much he was so close to death. A lot of dogs around the world are near death too just like Logan. Dogs are just like humans, they need the same respect and dignity that we give to other humans. If dogs are a man’s best friend, why don’t we treat them like one?
