Do you want to be able to express yourself by not wearing uniform? I know I don’t. My opinion is that students should be able to express themselves by being an individual. Uniform is basically BORING! . The reason why uniforms are boring is because we have to be wearing the same outfits everyday. Many students agree because we are all going through the same thing in In-tech academy Ms/Hs 368.
Students want to be seen as individuals and want to be themselves. They can dress how they want. They can wear something that shows their personality. “When children start school they have imagination, they use color outside the lines…” I found that information

School uniforms are boring and make me look like a whole different person. The students and I have to repeat the same type of clothing. We all are making the same routine with uniform buying, cleaning, washing, and ironing. Also the colors of the uniforms are pale and students want to be colorful to show their passion for fashion. We can’t even wear a different color for a celebration. “ Instead of helping students concentrate on work they teach them that looking normal is more important than what’s in your mind and heart.”(Angelfire.com/ca/ashleyschoolhomepage/unif.html)
Uniform is awfully expensive and many parents have low income and can’t help pay the price of the uniform. Buying at least 4 whole outfits with a button down shirt and khaki pants the price in total is about $60.00 to $80.00. I was appalled couldn’t even believe it when I had to uniform shopping.
The school policy is too strict. My school is a public school and we are forced to wear uniforms. If we do not wear uniform we need to serve detention. Many people disagree with me because they think a uniform policy is better so we won’t criticize each other’s outfits. “I find it quite ridiculous that parents allow someone to dictate to them what their children should wear on a day to day basis”. Everyone wants to be their own person and wear what they want to show what their personality really is. We like to wear different colors (blue, black, red, green, purple, yellow, pink ETC). Uniform looks very tacky and ugly and students are looking a like but they want to be themselves. How would you feel or felt if you wear or wore uniform?
