The First Time I Went To Camp
by Shakira from Park Place Voices, MS266K in Brooklyn, on June, 15th 2007
Sitting on the bus thinking are they going to like me, yes no maybe so. While we get closer and closer I start to get more butterflies in my belly. Then I go to sleep when I wake we are an hour away, and all these little kids yelling and screaming. Finally we reach Boston they are calling all the kids off the bus one by one. I was the last one to be called. They are holding up a banner that says welcome Shakira. Then they grabbed my bag and we headed off to their house. While I’m in the back seat of the car they are asking me questions like: How was my bus ride hear? , How many hours was the trip hear? I’m hesitating to answer then I say the ride was ok but the little kids were very annoying besides that it was a great bus ride. Then I respond what was the other question then they say how long was the trip? I said, “Ok umm it was about 6 hours long”. |
