What A Wonderful Vacation

It was a dream come true, since I was five years old I wanted to visit a magical place! It was July 28, 2006 at about 6:00am. I had just got in the air port when I heard them say “The flight to

Florida
has been delayed.” I was going to Disney World and I was so excited because I’ve never been there. We had to wait at the air port for about 2 hours so to kill time we talked, took pictures, listened to music, and read a magazine. Finally I heard an air plane coming and then they said that it was time to go on the plane. I put a huge smile on my face as they called the people from first class on the plane.

Once they called the second class I jumped up grabbed the bags and slowly walked on the line. We gave them our tickets and walked on the plane. We went to our seats and sat down, I sat next to my sister and my mom sat next to my brother. I was happy but once the plane started going up I was scared, I thought about 9-11 and I hoped that it wouldn’t happen to us. I listened to music, read a book, and went to sleep. My sister woke me up and said we will be there in about 20 minutes. I was so happy I wasn’t even thinking about going back to sleep.

We finally landed and got off the plane. We went to get our bags then we went on a bus that took us to our hotel. We were staying at Quality Suites and it was beautiful. We put our bags away, picked our beds, and went in a cab to go to Disney world. We passed a lot of stores and restaurants but we finally made it to Disney world.

The cab dropped us off in a parking lot and we walked to

Magic

Kingdom
. We gave them our tickets and we were finally there. We saw a beautiful, colorful sign that said

MAGIC

KINGDOM
. When we walked in the first thing we did was take pictures with characters and pictures of the castle in the morning. We were all so excited even my 14 year old sister and my mom. We took pictures with two different characters and then we seen a bench with a statue of Goofy on it so we took pictures with that.

When we were finished with that we walked and looked in gift shops, went on rides like Pirates of the

Caribbean
, Dumbo (for my brother) and a lot of other rides. It was really hot in

Florida
and we were all tired because we were standing on long lines and walking around all day. So my mom bought us all something to drink and we walked to the castle in

Magic

Kingdom
. The castle was beautiful in the morning it was white and purple.

We walked in the castle and there was a wall you can take pictures on and a gift shop. We looked in the gift shop and all the stuff was so expensive so we just looked around. We saw a beautiful glass cup but it was $100 just for one cup. We looked at the other gifts and it was too much money so we slowly walked away, looked back then sighed. We took pictures at the wall, looked at the gift shop for the last time and then left.

Out side the castle was some more characters so we took pictures with them, got there autographs, walked down the steps and left. After we took the pictures we went to eat in a dinner because we forgot to make reservations. I had chicken with French fries, so did my mom, sister and brother. We all had the same exact thing with a coke-cola.

“I’m having so much fun it’s amazing.”

I told my mom “So your having fun and what about you two, are you having fun?” my mom asked.

“Ma its Disney world who doesn’t have fun?” my sister sighed

“Yeah, who doesn’t have fun?” my brother repeated and I laughed

“Are you finished eating? We have to stand on long lines for the rides.” My mom mumbled.

When we left from eating that delicious food we stood on long lines to go on more rides. The rides were fun (of course) but my legs really hurt because we stood on long lines, walked all day and it was hot! Besides that I was having the best time ever. After we went on rides we went to buy gifts. We bought cups, pens, scrap books, bracelets, shirts, and teddy bears. It was a lot of money but it was worth it because it was for my family. The shirt I bought was black and it had 4 pictures which was the theme of the four parks. The pictures had glitter all over it!

When we left the gift shop we walked to the PARADE. We waited for 10 minutes for the parade to start but it was worth the wait. I was sitting in between my mom and sister and my brother was on my moms lap. Suddenly music started and fire crackers were going off. It was beautiful. The first person to come out was Goofy then Mickey and Minnie came out together. All the Disney characters came out but they screamed the most for Cinderella, Mickey, and Minnie.

“Wow that was beautiful!” I exclaimed.

“I know.” said my mother

After the wonderful parade we went to the parking lot where the cab was going to pick us up. We had to wait about ten minutes but the cab finally came. We went inside the cab and the driver drove us to our hotel. It was about 12:50am and I was so tired all I wanted to do was go to the hotel take a shower and go to sleep.  I had a great time with my family but it was over because I had just got back to the hotel. I went to Disney World with my family and I had fun. A lesson you can learn from this story is that spending time with your family can be fun. It’s good to spend time with your family because you have fun and you can learn more about them. It’s best to spend time with your family when your not home because you can spend time with them and have fun.
